Silicone addition Thixo A.
Silicone addition Thixo A is a thickening agent for all addition silicones.
Thixo makes it possible to pour not only the silicone but also the spatula / brush.
Description
Silicone Thixo A (dditie) is a viscous component that you can add to the pourable addition silicone to make it trowelable / brushable. This way you can also cover vertical and sloping surfaces without the silicone dripping off again.

First mix the A and B components of the silicone. Once this is satisfactory, you can add the Thixo A. Do this in 0.5% increments and stir well each time to see if the desired thickness / stiffness of the silicone has been achieved. Give each step some time. Usually people work with 1%.
Example: With 1 kg silicone, 10 g Thixo A are normally used.
Special instructions
The Thixo liquefies better when it gets warmer. In winter, it may therefore be necessary to place it near the heating for a while.
Do not use more than 4% Thixo as this may affect the silicone.
Note: This product is not the catalyst (hardener) of the silicone. So you must first combine the A and B of the silicone before adding the Thixo.
Thixo hardens the silicone by about 1 shore point and shortens the processing and demoulding time a little.
This thixo only works with addition silicones and therefore NOT with condensation silicones like the silicone condensation BICK 20 etc.
Packing
The additive Thixo A is available in a 50 or 500 gram bottle. This is usually enough for about 5 or 50 kg of silicone mixture.
Durability
Provided that the components are stored in a closed packaging in a cool and frost-free place away from direct sunlight, the shelf life is at least 1 year.

Use liquid-proof gloves for this product.
