Silicone condensation 20 (medium hard, bleeding) Don't forget to order the hardener!

These standard silicones are excellent for making plaster moulds, soap moulds, candle moulds, concrete moulds, etc. In 1.1 litre packs including hardener.

Description

Silicone C (condensation) 20 A + B is a 2-component cast silicone (polycondensation) that cures at room temperature. The silicones flow well, provide many details and have a very high tensile strength. The silicones C 20 A + B are excellent for casting cement, plaster, wax, soap and many other casting compounds.

Note: The pot life and demoulding time strongly depend on the mixing ratio and air humidity! If more than 2% silicone B (harder) is added or if the air humidity is higher, the pot life and demoulding time are shorter.

The silicone C 20 A + B can be easily mixed by hand or by machine. Mix the A and B components carefully and in the ratio indicated (preferably 2%, you can add between 1.5-3% B comp).

For example: Preferably add 20 g B-component to 1 kg A-component. You can vary between 15 grams (1.5%) and 30 grams (3%).

At 1.5%, the silicone takes longer to cure, which means that this is possible. air bubble more time to escape. If you add a 3% B-component, the silicone will cure considerably faster. Process the mixture within the pot life and never make more than you can process within the pot life.

Wait until it is fully cured before demoulding. If you want to make a stirrup / spatula mould, you need to add a third component (0.6% -2% Thixo C) (usually 1%). Thixo C thickens the mixture and allows the silicone to be spatulated. You should take into account that in this case the mould must have a support cap. This support cap can be made of plaster (dressing) or kneaded epoxy or acrylic resin with glass fabric.

Packing

The products are packaged as standard with 1, 5 or 25 kg A-component, 20, 100 or 500 gram B-component. Components can also be ordered separately. For larger packages, please contact us at info@bickartsupplies.eu.

Durability

Provided the silicone is stored in a cool and frost-free place in closed packaging, the shelf life is at least 1 year.

Safety requirements

If you work with the silicone frequently, it is recommended to wear gloves during application and to ventilate the room well. Safety instructions can always be found in the safety data sheet.
